Corporate Picnic with Caricature Entertainment

Caricature artists draw cartoon like photos of guests at events and provide them pieces of art that they can take home after the event. This is a photo of one of our caricature artists at a corporate picnic drawing one of the guests on site. You can see that with an easel, a piece of paper, and a marker that our caricature artists can quickly create works of art that anyone would be proud to take home.

As caricatures are so popular, we often have our corporate picnics hire multiple artists so that more of their families and guests can get their faces drawn. This particular event hosted 6 caricature artists, 3 face painters, 2 balloon artists, and 1 henna artist. With such a variety of entertainment options, every family was able to find something fun and exciting to participate in.

Though every caricature artists has a slightly different style and each performs at a slightly different pace, most artists can draw approximately 10 to 15 faces per hour. If families want multiple faces in a drawing, they can usually accommodate that as well if they are told before they start to draw. Most artists can fit up to 4 family members in a drawing comfortably.

Lightning Balloon Columns with Firecracker Toppers

This event hosted a number of special guests for the Lightning. We were honored to be able to offer balloon columns with blue and white firecracker toppers for the entrance of their VIP area. This particular set of columns made for a fun and exciting entrance for the guests, making it fun and exciting for all that enter and setting the stage for all the fun inside.

Simple Balloon Centerpieces for Tampa Corporate Event

When we finish a balloon job, we always take a moment to step back and look at the room. This photo shows us doing just that after completing the setup for a corporate meeting held at Tampa Waterside Marriott downtown. Everyone in our staff is working in this photo, doing something neccessary after every event.

You can see clearly Jonathan and Kathy in the middle of the room discussing the layout and placement of the pieces delivered. You can see Chris in the back left of the room, speaking with the client and making sure any final requests are met. Dimetri is out of sight behind the camera, taking photos of the venue, of each of the balloon decor pieces, and making sure we have a record of our work. We make it a point to go over these photos at a team to make sure that all events are as perfect as they can be.

After this photo was taken, we made sure to realign the centerpieces so that they are best viewed entering the room and walking toward the front of the meeting. We also made sure that they were evenly distributed amongst the tables, bar area, and the high tops.

These simple centerpieces went a long way in helping to transform the event into one that was just a little bit more fun and festive for all the great news they would be sharing at the corporate event.

Before You Hire a Caricature Artist, Do This

When you are planning to have a caricature artist at a child’s birthday party, there are important considerations that you should make. The information below will help you hire the right caricature artist for excellent entertainment at the party.

Ask for Pre-Drawn Caricatures
Be sure to have a look at samples of the artist’s work before hiring. You can, for instance, ask the artist to show you some of his finest works. Sometimes it even helps if you ask the artist to offer a sneak preview by drawing you. In doing this, you get a chance to review the style of the artist as well as his applications of comic effects in his work. Some caricature artists are simply too “harsh” in their style and thus inappropriate for children parties.

Look for Much More That Art
The best caricature artist is much more than just an artist; he or she is also an entertainer. Such a person is able to put people at ease as he or she draws. Caricaturists who are able to amuse onlookers, as well as the people posing for the picture, are the right fit for your job. To assess these qualities, you could ask for videos that show the caricaturists at work. Again, you should make sure that the artist’s humor is appropriate for children.

Look for The Right Credentials
Formal training and even art degrees are not an important consideration when hiring a caricature artist. They, however, are a big plus. Some professional caricaturists are also members of such organizations as the International Society of Caricature Artists. Other caricaturists have done notable works for movies, TV, newspapers, animations and other media beyond parties. All these aspects are critical pointers to caricaturist who can do a terrific job to your party.

Consider the Format That the Caricaturist Offers
A caricaturist may draw seated with the subject posing directly opposite them. Other artists mix and mingle with the guests. The mix and mingle artists are more interactive; they walk around and draw on the go. Depending on your party preferences, one of these two formats will be best. Be sure to ask from the caricature artist which of the two formats appeals to him or her.
Hiring a caricaturist is fun. A caricature or two will surely bring lots of fun to a children’s’ party. Every single one of your guest will love it.

Balloon Artist and Face Painter for the Amalie Arena Event

Our artists and entertainers have so much fun when they go out to work events. It comes to no surprise that they enjoy taking fun and goofy selfies when they work too. This is Noah who recently worked at Amalie Arena for one of their carnival day events. He was the balloon artist on site twisting balloon animals. There was also a face painter, balloon decor, and tons of other fun activities for guests to participate in while at the arena.

Topiary Helium Balloon Bouquets

The Tampa Bay Lightning like to throw little parties and get togethers for fans and VIP members throughout the year. We get to help decorate those events and we have a blast doing it! This particular event took place at the Marriott Waterside in Tampa, Florida and was minimal balloon decor to surround the room. We used blue and white topiary balloon sculptures on simple balloon bases to set around the perimeter of the room.

These wonderful pieces made for a unique and fun addition to the event. They were different from the standard columns, prettier than the normal bouquets, and fit perfectly for the occasion.

Sprint Balloon Decor for corporate meeting

When corporations hold events and meetings at convention centers and hotels, the view can often be quite bland and unexciting. That can quickly change with balloon decorations! YTE helped decorate for this Sprint corporate retreat with some well placed balloon columns. Not only did they help to serve as a marker for the Sprint staff to find the correct ballroom, but they also highlighted the Sprint colors, added some fun, and changed the bland and boring hotel corridor into something a little more sightly.

These relatively simple balloon columns consisted of stacked black, neon pink, silver, and white balloons and had a 36″ balloon top on them as well. This pattern is called color stacking and essentially just has layers of balloons placed on the column according to color. Each column consisted of 36 balloons and remained for the duration of the weekend.

Walden University Graduation Event

Occasionally we are called on to offer our ideas and suggestions for events. Other times clients know exactly what they want and we just help facilitate their vision. This was a case of the latter. Walden came to us and asked to make a large organic wall and then to decorate with a few specialty sculptures, backdrops, and columns.

We had a blast decorating for this event and hope to work with them again in the future. The enormous sculpture for the reception area was beautiful. With the balloon focal point at the rear of the room, guests were encouraged to take photos and selfies for the event, sharing with their friends and family.

One of the other pieces they requested was a unique column for their children’s area. The column was to be organic, brightly colored, and with as many different colors and sizes as possible. The only real requirement was that there needed to be a large foil number 4 at top to make sure that guests could find the correct room.

When it was all said and done, this is what we came up with. It was exactly what the client wanted and they were absolutely thrilled. It threw out almost every rule of design that we use for creating columns and other balloon sculptures, but sometimes that just works. In this case, it was exactly what the client wanted. We love when that happens.

Arcade Balloon Arch in Neon Colors

Balloon arches are fun and exciting for any event. When we were asked to help decorate for an 80’s theme party, we were happy to facilitate the fun neon balloon arch here. When we added the arcade sign, showing where all the games were located and added in the curly que balloons to accent the colors, it really helped this piece pop. Whether it is for a corporate party, a birthday, or even a school dance… The neon balloon arches seem to always be a great hit. The mix of neon and black balloons look fantastic and inspire an atmosphere of fun to any event.
